What I wonder is if we strive to digitize for the sake of the challenge or in the name of increasing our efficiency, will we be better off for our efforts? Would cutting the digital components out of the house make them for efficient because we don't need to use a much electricity? Isn't the human brain already capable of so much more then we give credit? The tech sector has converted the human brain from a free standing CPU into a worldwide collective bank of RAM. Less independent usage or more random access from the CPU that is the technology industry, taking, redepositing, and boosting the industry production speed. Which may be the computer industries' greatest achievement. Farming the minds of millions while being quite open and sharing information. This concept of copious amounts of data mined from millions of sensors to study is efficiency though. Data helps us learn. See trends. Make changes. This CNS for the earth is a big one and it can make us more efficient if we use it correctly.
