When your tires aren't balance, they wear unevenly and cause your car to handle poorly which could lead to a life threatening accident. When you get dizzy from, dare I sat it, drinking too much, you can lose your balance and fall over.
Sport is the same way. Everyday you must train to improve your chances at success, but without resting you will never get any stronger only more wore out. Leibniz had it right, you cannot create or destroy energy, only transfer it around. Thus I would rank balance as the biggest obstacle to aspiring professional athletes.
As such I have taken up a new sport.
